11-24-1976 VC SP-MMINUTES OF RECESSED SPECIAL MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 1976 Present: M. C. Love, Jr., Mayor V. A. Marks, Vice Mayor Al C. Moore, President Pro Tem Donald J. Kazimir, Councilman Paul J. Nicoletti, Village Manager Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Love reconvened the Recessed Special Meeting of -ROLL CALL Monday, November 8, 1976 at 7:20 p.m. All members of the Council were present. The purpose of this meeting is to constitute the Council PURPOSE OF as the official Bond Election Canvassing Board for the MEETING purpose of canvassing the vote of November 2, 1976 under the provisions of Section 12-57 of the Village Code_ The Council inspected and accepted the Statement of Can- vass for the Bond Election of November 2 for the follow- ing precincts: Precinct 34 Precinct 50 Precinct 48 Precinct 52 Precinct 49 Precinct 53 The Council also inspected the Certification of the Absentee Ballots received from Jackie Winchester, Supervisor of Elections of Palm Beach County. Vice Mayor Marks moved that we accept the absentee ballot count as presented. The motion was seconded by Council- man Kazimir and all present voted aye. The official tabulation of machine votes cast in the Bond Election of November 2 are as follows: For Bonds 1,588 Against Bonds 2,886 The official tabulation of absentee ballots for the Bond Election of November 2 are as follows: For Bonds 166 Against Bonds 206 The above tabulation of machine votes and absentee ballots certify that the following is the result of the Bond Election of November 2: ' Total Votes For Bonds 1,754 Total Votes Against Bonds 3,092 On motion of Councilman Moore, seconded by Councilman Kazimir, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No. 73-76 entitled: INSPECTION OF STATEMENTS OF CANVASS AND CERTIFICATION OF ABSENTEE BALLOT COUNT ACCEPTANCE OF ABSENTEE BALLOT COUNT TABULATION OF MACHINE VOTES TABULATION OF ABSENTEE BALLOTS RESULT OF BOND ELECTION RES. 73-76 ADOPTED Minutes of Recessed Special Meeting Held Wednesday, November 24, 1976 Page 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE BOND ELECTION HELD ON NOVII~iBER 2, 1976 TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS IN AN AGGREGATE AMOUNT OF NOT EXCEEDING ONE MILLION SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,600,000) SHALL BE APPROVED BY SUCH QUALIFIED ELECTORS RESIDING IN THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH TO FINANCE THE COST OF THE ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR RECREATIONAL PURPOSES AND THE CONSTRUCTION AND ACQUISITION OF A RECREATION BUILDING AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES, INCLUDING OTHER PURPOSES NECESSARY, APPURTENANT OR INCIDENTAL THERETO was-read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 73-76.
