A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE
AEV TYPE I AMBULANCE MODULE MOUNTED TO A 2017 FREIGHTLINER
CREW CAB CHASSIS FROM ETR, LLC PURSUANT TO PRICING
ESTABLISHED BY AN EXISTING FLORIDA SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION,
FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES AND FLORIDA FIRE CHIEFS
ASSOCIATION CONTRACT FOR FIRE RESCUE VEHICLES AND OTHER
FLEET EQUIPMENT; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND
VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND BUDGET
TO TRANSFER $249,538.00 FROM THE CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO
THE FIRE- AUTOMOTIVE CAPITAL ACCOUNT; DECLARING AN EXISTING
2003 FORD /WHEELED COACH AMBULANCE AS SURPLUS PROPERTY
AND AUTHORIZING ITS DISPOSAL; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Fire Rescue Department is requesting the purchase of one ambulance as listed
on the Capital Improvement Plan ( "CIP ") utilizing CIP funds; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of one AEV Type I Ambulance
Module mounted to a 2017 Freightliner crew cab chassis equipped in accordance with Village
specifications pursuant to pricing established in an existing Florida Sheriffs Association,
Florida Association of Counties & Florida Fire Chiefs Association Contract No. 15 -11 -0116
(Fire Rescue Vehicles and other Fleet Equipment); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $249,538.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Fire Automotive Capital Account
to fund the purchase of the ambulance; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to declare one existing ambulance as surplus property
and authorize its disposal; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of one AEV Type I Ambulance
Module mounted to a 2017 Freightliner crew cab chassis equipped in accordance with Village
specifications from ETR, LLC pursuant to pricing established in Florida Sheriffs Association,
Florida Association of Counties & Florida Fire Chiefs Association Contract No. 15 -11 -0116
(Fire Rescue Vehicles and other Fleet Equipment). The total amount expended for this purchase
shall not exceed $249,538, with funds expended from Account No. K5812 -66410 (Fire — Automotive).

Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. The Village Council hereby declares the following ambulance as surplus property
and authorizes its disposal through trade in on the purchase of the new ambulance in accordance
with Village policies and procedures:

Section 6. All resolutions in conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.
Section 7. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
