Mr. John LaCerda, President, Yacht Club Civic Associ-
ation, presented a dissertation to the Council concern-
ing the lack of water on the higher floors of the condo-
miniums and also the turbid quality of the water. He also
expressed alarm concerning fire hazards in high rise
buildings due to the lack of water pressure.
Mr. William Friday, 753 Eagle Way, brought with him
two glasses of water, which were of very poor quality.
He advised the Council that he was not well physically
and toas apprehensive about drinking the water for fear
that it would be injurious to his health. Mr.
Nicoletti stated that he had talked with officials
of the utility company and they assured him that even
though the water has sedimentation in it, it is fit
to drink and it does not contain bacteria and it would
not poison one if they drank the water.
Mrs. Blanche Lang, 414 Driftwood Road, stated that the
water pressure was very low and that the water was rusty.
She also stated she felt this was definitely a health
hazard and should be corrected.

Mr. John Hasler, counsel for Bankers Life and Casualty, -
was present at the meeting as the representative for
Palm Beach County Utilities Company. The Council posed
several questions to Mr. Hasler regarding the serious water __
problems. Mr. Hasler was unable to answer some of the --
questions, but indicated he would check with the utility
company tomorrow to obtain the answers and pass the in-
formation on to Mr. Nicoletti.
The Council agreed that they would recess this regular
session tonight and reconvene on Monday, July 26, 1976
because of the problems the Village was experiencing
with the utility company. They instructed the Village
Manager to contact the proper authorities at the utility
company to find out what the situation is and advise
the Council accordingly. They also instructed Mr.
