Clark, Jr., David C obituary 2015 Publication: Palm Beach Post; Date: Dec 28, 2015; Section: Local; Page: B4 CLARK, Jr., David Crosby David Crosby Clark Jr., beloved husband, father, uncle, and grandfather died December 24, 2015 with his family by his side. Dave was born in Bad Axe, MI on August 14, 1926. His parents Crosby and Mary, former wife Ethel, beloved daughter Amy, brother Ed and sister Sally, predeceased him. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Sanders, with whom he shared a wonderful life full of happiness and many adventures . Also survived by his children Mary Mays (Dr. Kenneth Mays), David Clark, Susan Dunfee, Patty Clark (Drew White), grandchildren Kenny Mays (Kathy), Crosby Mays, Max White, Dee Dollie and Frank Dunfee. In addition, brothers-in-law Sebastian Amenta (Gloria), Robert Sanders (Audrey), Lee Sanders (Sunnie), and nephews Robert and David Amenta and Austin, Atley and Henry Sanders. Dave graduated from Central Michigan University, obtained his law degree from Stetson University, and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1955. He resided in Florida for over 60 years, and during that time served the State of Florida in many capacities. His appointments included serving as the Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Assistant County Solicitor for Orlando, Public Defender for Palm Beach County, Commissioner of the Port of Palm Beach, and Municipal Judge for Riviera Beach and South Bay. He was elected Councilman for Village of North Palm Beach, and elected State Representative in 1968 and served in that capacity until 1974. He was elected Palm Beach County Judge in 1976 and was re-elected each term until his retirement in 1992. He served in northeast Palm Beach County from 1976 until 1980 and in Delray Beach from 1980 until 1992. He also served as a Senior Judge for many years after his retirement. Judge Clark was known for his humor and fairness in the courtroom, and his keen sense of decency to all who came before him. He enjoyed golf, travel, good pie, and the quest for a great bargain. Friends may gather on Monday, December 28 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM with a service to follow at 12:00PM at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 754 U.S. Highway 1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 225 N Michigan Ave, FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
