09-13-1973 VC PH1-MMINUTES VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THURSDAY, OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE NORTH PALM BEACH, HELD SEPTEMBER 13,,1973 FLORIDA Present: H. Mallory Privett, Jr., Mayor Ronald B. Robbins, Village Manager Dolores R';. Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Privett called the Public Hearing to~,order at ROLL CALL 7:32 p.m. All members of the Council were present. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to give information PURPOSE OF on and receive the views of the public concerning Bill PUBLIC No. 184. This bill would rezone Lots 20, 21 and 22, HEARING Marina Addition, from C-1 to R-3. A notice has been sent to property owners who are NOTICE SENT within a 200 foot radius of the land involved in this. TO PROPERTY rezoning. ', OWNERS WITHIN I 200 FT.-RADIUS Village Manager read legal notice of this Public Hearing, LEGAL NOTICE which was published in the Palm Beach Post=Times on READ August 26, 1973 and posted as required by Village Charter. Village Manager read Bill No. 184 entitled:. BILL 184 READ IN AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, TOTAL FLORIDA, REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM ZONING DISTRICT C-1 TO R-3 ZONING DISTRICT, AND DIRECTING THE CLERK TO UPDATE THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP in total. Mr. John LaCerda, 130 Yacht Club Drive, spoke on behalf of the persons residing in the condominiumsialong Yacht Club Drive and urged adoption of Bill No. 184. Mayor Privett stated that the Village had received a letter from Mr. E. P. Desrochers a partner.. of D&A Investment, the present majority land owner'of Harbour View Condominium, dated August 6, 1973, stating he- is willing to accept a change in zoning from C-1 to R-3 on Lot 20, providing that Lots 21 and 22 are also changed to R-3. A copy of this letter is attached to the minutes of this Public Hearing. '- Mrs. L. Kasten, 36 Yacht Club Drive, and Mr',. Irvin Golson, President of Harbour Towers Condominium, also spoke in favor of Bill No. 184. We wil not accept a zoning change on loti20 witho~it the adja~~nt lots being changed exactly the same. Good business practice and the. fact that I do not expect to hold my present~position'of decision making for long requires me to-limit this offer till December 31, 1973.
