07-26-1973 VC REG-MMINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE 1 C 1 Mayor Privett called the Regular Meeting to~order at ROLL CALL 8:05 p.m. All members of the Council were present except Councilman Colbath. Mayor Privett gave the invocation and Councilman INVOCATION & Martin led the Council and the public in the Pledge of PLEDGE OF Allegiance to the Flag. Colbath, Jr., Councilman I i On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman APPROVAL_OF Martin, all present voting aye, the minutes~of Regular- MINUTES Meeting held Thursday, July 12, 1973 were approved as written. i Mayor Privett presented a plaque to former Councilman, PLAQUE PRE- Thomas B. Rhodes, from the citizens of the Village in SENTED TO recognition of his community service duringhis term TOM RHODES of office. Mayor Privett presented a trophy to Ken Born and one to Ruth Barnett, which was accepted by Ken Born in her absence. They were the champions of the North Palm Beach Closed Mixed Doubles Tennis_Championship Tournament held on July 4, 1973. On motion of 'Mice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilma', Slater, all present voting aye, that we deviate from the agenda and take up Statements from the Public at this time. , Mr. John LaCerda, representing the Yacht Club Drive Civic Association, read a statement to the Council objecting to the proposed construction of a;pizza parlor on Lots 21 and 22 at the end of Yacht Club Drive. Mr. LaCerda was advised by the Council thatno building permit has been issued for a pizza parlor at the present time, but that at the end of the building moratorium, one could be obtained because this type of establishment is allowed in the present zoning. On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman RES. 29-73 Martin, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution ADOPTED No. 29-73 entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OFiNORTH PALr1 BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING A SECOND JUDGE AD LITEM OF THE MUNICIPAL COURT OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 29-73. On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman 1967 GMC_ PACKER Martin, all present voting aye, that 1967 GMC Packer SOLD TO CENTRAL be sold in "as is" condition to Central Hauling Systems, HAULING SYSTEMS Hialeah, Florida, for a sum not to exceed $T,700.00, as per bid specifications of July 17, 1973. On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman LARRY JARRELL Slater, all present voting aye, that we authorize the CONST. CO. bid for storm drainage to Larry Jarrell Construction AWARDED BID FOR Company in an amount not to exceed $2,650.OQ, said STORM DRAINAGE funds to come from Account No. OS-500.- Minutes of Regular Meeting Held Thursday, July 26; 1973 Page 3 u On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by ;Councilman _V7S~LAGE & Martin, all present voting aye, that the Village Manager NPBCC FULL is authorized and directed to increase the weekly pay TIME EMPT,OI'EES of full time employees in the Village goverzunent and RECEIVE 5% at the North Palm Beach Country Club by an ;amount equal INCREASE IN to 5% of the current weekly wages, the source of funds WAGES, EFFECTIVE for the increase of Village employees to come from 8/1/73 Account 06-500 and for Country Club employees from Account 04-130, effective August 1, 1973.
