02-08-1973 VC REG-MMINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 1973 Present: H. Mallory Privett, Jr., Mayor Ronald B. Cadby, Vice Mayor Robert W. Martin, Councilman Thomas B. Rhodes, Councilman Robert F. Slater, Councilman Will Nason, Village Attorney Lawrence J. Robbins, Village Manager Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Privett called the Regular Meeting to order at 8:00 ROLL CALL p.m. and asked the Clerk to call the roll, all members being present. Councilman Martin gave the invocation and Councilman Rhodes led the Council and the public in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded. by Councilman Martin, all present voting aye, the minutes of Regular Meeting held Thursday, January 25, 1973 were approved as written. INVOCATION & PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mayor Privett, on behalf of the Village Council, presented PRESENTATION the awards to winners of the 1972 Annual Christmas Decoration OF AWARDS FOR Contest who were present to accept them. The awards will be CHRISTMAS mailed to those winners not in attendance. DECORATION CONTEST On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman -ACCEPTANCE OF Rhodes, all present voting aye, the minutes of North Palm MINUTES Beach Country Club Board of Governors meeting-held December 20, 1972; the minutes of Community Appearance Board meeting held January 23, 1973; and the minutes of Beautification Committee meeting held January 24, 1973 were accepted. Mr. and Mrs. James Bragdon of 1025 Country Club Drive COMPLAINT voiced. their objections to the Council concerning the _ OF MR. & MRS. pump and the electrical installation at the No. 11 tee BRAGDON RE area of the North Palm Beach Country Club, which area PUMP & ELEC- is behind the Bragdon~s home, Mr._ William Lynch of 1032 TRICAL PANEL Country Club Drive concurred with the objections of Mr. and Mrs. Bragdon. It was agreed that the Village would take another look at this installation relative to a possible relocation of the electrical panel. On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman ACCEPTANCE Martin, all present voting aye, the Village financial state- OF VILLAGE ment for the period ending December 31, 1972 was accepted. FINANCIAL STATEMENT On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman RES. 5-73 Rhodes, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No. ADOPTED 5-73 entitled: Minutes o£ Regular Meeting Held Thursday, February 8, 1973 Page 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PAIa BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH PALM BEACH COUNTY, A GOVERNMENTAL SUBDIVISION OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA, FOR THE COUNTY TO FURNISH THE VILLAGE LABOR, MATERIALS AND INSPECTION TO SLURRY SEAL VILLAGE. ROADS was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 5-73. On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman Martin, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No. b-73 entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE FOLLOWING IMPROVEMENTS: PROJECT J - FEDERAL HIGHWA~1' AND NORTHLAKE BOULEVARD AND SAMPLING STATION FOR SIGNAL SYSTEM TO INTERCONNECTION ON U. S. 1 TO RIVIERA BEACH; PROJECT B - NORT$LAKE BOULEVARD AND PROSPERITY FARMS ROAD; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE PROPER VILLAGE OFFICIALS TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY AND PROPER TO IMPLEMENT THIS RESOLUTION was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 6-73. On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman Martin, all present voting aye, proposed. Resolution No. 7=73 entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE TRAFFIC SIGNALS MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPART- MENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE VILLAGE OF NORTH :PAIN BEACH was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 7-73. On motion of Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman Slater, all present voting aye, that the expenditure for payment of dues for the Florida League of Cities in the amount of $750.00 be authorized. There being no further business to come before the Council, on motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman Martin, all present voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 11:10 p.m. Minutes recorded. by: Dolores R.
