A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE
2016 UNMARKED FORD TAURUS POLICE VEHICLE AND THREE 2016
MARKED FORD INTERCEPTOR POLICE VEHICLES FROM DUVAL FORD
PURSUANT TO AN EXISTING FLORIDA SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION/
FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES AND FLORIDA FIRE CHIEFS
ASSOCIATION CONTRACT FOR POLICE RATED, ADMINISTRATIVE,
UTILITY VEHICLES, TRUCKS AND VANS; AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE
CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND BUDGET TO TRANSFER $143,790.00 FROM
THE CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE POLICE - AUTOMOTIVE
CAPITAL ACCOUNT; DECLARING SPECIFIED VEHICLES AS SURPLUS
PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting the purchase of four vehicles as listed on the
Capital Improvement Plan ( "CIP ") utilizing CIP funds; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of one 2016 unmarked Ford Taurus
and three 2016 marked Ford Police Interceptor vehicles, each equipped in accordance with
Village specifications, pursuant to the Florida Sheriffs Association /Florida Association of
Counties & Florida Fire Chiefs Association Contract No. 15 -23 -0904 (Police Rated, Administrative,
Utility Vehicles, Trucks and Vans); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $143,790.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Police Automotive Capital Account
to fund the purchase of the vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to declare four existing vehicles as surplus property and
authorize their disposal; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of one 2016 unmarked Ford Taurus
and three 2016 marked Ford Police Interceptor vehicles, each equipped in accordance with
Village specifications, from Duval Ford pursuant to the Florida Sheriffs Association/Florida
Association of Counties & Florida Fire Chiefs Association Contract No. 15 -23 -0904
(Police Rated, Administrative, Utility Vehicles, Trucks and Vans). The total amount expended for
these vehicles shall not exceed $143,790.00, with funds expended from Account No. K5711 -66410
(Police — Automotive).

Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. Upon delivery, acceptance and placement into service of the new vehicles, the
Village Council declares the following vehicles as surplus property and authorizes their disposal
in accordance with Village policies and procedures:

Section 6. All resolutions in conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.
Section 7. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
