Thomas B. Rhodes, Councilman
Absent: Robert W. Martin, Councilman
Robert F. Slater, Councilman
Mayor Privett called the. Public Hearing to order at 7:40
p.m. and asked the Clerk to call the roll, all members
being present except Councilman Martin and Councilman
Slater.
ROLL CALL,
The purpose of this Public Hearing was to hear the comments .PURPOSE OF
of the public with regard to-Bill No. 168. This bill re- PIIBLIC HEARING
quires buildings to be set back a minimum of fifty feet
from the dune line or one hundred feet from the highwater
mark, whichever distance is greater, for all property
bordering on the Atlantic Ocean.
Clerk read legal notice of this Public Hearing which was LEGAL NOTICE
published in the Palm Beach Post Times on September 24, READ
1972 and posted as required bry Village Charter.
Clerk read Bill No. 168 entitled: BILL 168
READ IN
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, TOTAL
FLORIDA, REQUIRING BUILDINGS TO BE SET BACK A
MINIMUM OF FIFTY FEET FROM THE DUNE LINE OR A
MINIMUM OF ONE HUNDRED FEET FROM THE HIGHWATER
MARK, WHICHEVER DISTANCE IS GREATER, FOR ALL
PROPERTY BORDERING ON THE ATLANTIC. OCEAN
in total.
There was no opposition to Bill No. 168 from either NO OPPOSITION
the Council or the public. TO BILL 168 --
There being no further business to come before the ADJOURNMENT
Council at this Public Hearing, on motion of Vice
Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman Rhodes, all
present voting aye, the Public Hearing was adjourned
at 7:55 p.m.
