HELD
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 1972

Lawrence J_ Robbins, Village Manager
Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk
Mayor Privett called the Regular Meeting to order at ROLL CALL
8:05 p.m. and asked the Clerk to call the roll, all
members being present.
Mayor Privett gave the invocation and Councilman Rhodes led INVOCATION &
the Council and the public in the Pledge of Allegiance to PLEDGE OF
the Flag. ALLEGIANCE
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, the minutes of Regular
Meeting held Thursday, January 27, 1972 were approved
as corrected.
On motion of Councilman Martin, seconded by Vice Mayor
Cadby, all present voting aye, the minutes of Public
Hearing held Monday, January 31, 1972 were approved
as written.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes - 4 to 1, Councilman Slater opposed - that we
postpone consideration of the two applications for
dredge permits by the Old Port Cove Venture for two
weeks.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, that we take a three
minute recess. The meeting was recessed at 9:30 p.m.
The meeting was reconvened at 9:33 p.m.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, the minutes .of the
Community Appearance Board meeting held January 18,
1972 were accepted.
On motion of Viee Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Martin, all present voting aye, that we consider Bill
No. 144 before Bill No. 143.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
' Rhodes, all present voting aye, Bill No. 14~F entitled
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PATi~1 BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 6-39 OF THE VILLAGE OF

TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF THE GENERAL ELECTION TO BE
HELD ON MARCH 21, 1972; NAMING THE TIME AND PLACE
WHERE SUCH ELECTION SHALL BE HELD; APPOINTING THE
ELECTION OFFICIALS FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION AND
RUN-OFF ELECTION; DECLARING THE OFFICES TO BE
FILLED AT ,SUCH ELECTION

On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman AUTHORIZATION
Rhodes, all present voting aye, that we authorize the FOR PURCHASE OF
Village to purchase 95% Malathion concentrate con- MALATHION
taining 9.737 pounds of actual Malathion per gallon
at a cost of $7.55 per gallon, as needed, through the
Mosquito Control Department of the Board of County
Commissioners of Palm Beach County, to be effective
through September 30, 1972.
On motion of Councilman Rhodes, seconded by Vice Mayor .BID FOR GASOLINE
Cadby, all present voting aye, that the Village Manager AWARDED TO GULF
be authorized to accept the low bid of Gulf 0i1 Company OIL CO.
for the period ending October 31, 1972 to purchase
premium gasoline at a cost of $.2152 per gallon and
regular gasoline at a cost of $.1952 per gallon.

On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Martin, all present voting aye, that the Village
Manager be authorized to accept the low bid of Standard
Oil Company for the purchase of miscellaneous oils and
greases as set forth in their proposal, copq of which
is attached to the minutes of this meeting.
There being no further business to come before the
Council, on motion of Councilman Martin, seconded by
Councilman Rhodes, all present voting aye, the meeting
was adjourned at 11:45 p.m.
