VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD
THURSDAY, APRIL 27, 1972
Present: H. Mallory Privett, Jr., Mayor

Mayor Privett called the Regular Meeting to order at
8:05 p.m. and asked the Clerk to call the roll, all
members being present.
Councilman Martin gave the invocation and Vice Mayor
Cadby led the Council and the public in the Pledge of
Allegiance to the Flag.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Slater, all present voting aye, the minutes of Regular
Meeting held Thursday, April 13, 1972 were approved as
written.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Martin, all present voting aye, the minutes of Election
' Meeting of the North Palm Beach Country Club Board
of Governors held April 5, 1972; the minutes of Recrea-
tion Advisory Board meeting held April 11, 1972; the
minutes of Planning and Zoning Advisory Board meeting
held April 12, 1972; the minutes of Community Appearance
Board meetings held April 4, 1972, April 11, 1972 and
April 18, 1972 were accepted.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Martin, all present voting aye, the Village and the
North Palm Beach Country Club financial statements
for the period ending March 31, 1972 were accepted.
On motion of Councilman Martin, seconded by Vice
Mayor Cadby, all present voting aye, that we raise
the library fee for non-residents of Palm Beach County
to $10.00, with $7.00 being returned if the membership
is terminated prior to the end of the current fiscal
year, and all library materials have been returned to
the library.

On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Martin, all present voting aye, that we take a five
minute recess. The meeting was recessed at 9:55 p.m.
' and was reconvened at 10:00 p.m.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Martin, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No.
16-72 entitled:

COUNTRY CLUB BOARD OF GOVERNORS AND SETTING FORTH
THE TERMS OF OFFICE OF SUCH MEMBERS
was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No.
17-72.
Vice Mayor Cadby moved that Resolution No. 18-72 en- MOTION TO

be adopted as read. The motion was seconded by Council-
man Martin.
Councilman Slater moved that Resolution No. 18-72 be RES. 18-72
amended by changing Dr. Leon RogerTs appointment to AMENDED
a two year term, and changing Henry M. Eckes, Jr.'s
appointment to a one year term. The motion was
seconded by Vice Mayor Cadby, and all. present voted
aye.
Thereafter Council voted on the original motion to RES. 18-72
adopt Resolution No. 18-72 as amended, and the motion ADOPTED AS
passed unanimously. AMENDED
On motion of Councilman Martin, seconded by Vice RECESS
Mayor Cadby, all present voting aye, that we take a
three minute recess. The meeting was recessed at
10:25 p.m. and was reconvened at 10:28 p.m..
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman RES. 19-72
Slater, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution ADOPTED
No. 19-72 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OE NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE
VILLAGE RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD
was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No.
19-72.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman RES. 20-72
Martin, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution ADOPTED
No. 20-72 entitled:

BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE
CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH L. A. BAARCKE
CONCERNING THE MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION OF THE
SWIMMING POOL AT THE NORTH PALM BEACH COUNTRY CLUB.

to be moved to Account No. 15-404 at reappr_opriation ACCT. OS-500
time.
On motion of Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman NEW SLIMMER
Rhodes, all present voting aye, that we approve -the n_ew_ HOURS FOR
summer hours for the Library as recommended by the LIBRARY
Library Advisory Board. APPROVED
There being no further business to come before the ADJOURNMENT
Council, on motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by --
Councilman Rhodes, all present voting aye, the
meeting was adjourned at 11:55 p.m.
