A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING A RENEWED AND
EXPANDED BOOK LEASE PLAN WITH BAKER AND TAYLOR
PURSUANT TO PRICING ESTABLISHED IN AN EXISTING CONTRACT
WITH PALM BEACH COUNTY; AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER
TO EXECUTE THE RENEWAL AUTHORIZATION; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in lieu of two existing lease plans, Village Administration is recommending
approval of a renewed and expanded book lease plan with Baker and Taylor pursuant to pricing
established in an existing contract with Palm Beach County (Bid No. 15- 025 /JJ — Book New and
Popular Leased, Term Contract); and
WHEREAS, the total cost of the new and expanded lease plan is $15,312.00, and the Village's
Purchasing Policies and Procedures require Village Council approval of all expenditures in
excess of $10,000; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves a renewed and expanded book lease plan with
Baker and Taylor pursuant to pricing established in an existing contract with Palm Beach County
(Bid No. 15- 025 /JJ — Book New and Popular Leased, Term Contract) at a total cost not to exceed
$15,312.00, with funds expended from Account No. A7927 -33491 (Library — Contractual Services).
The Village Council further authorizes the Village Manager to execute the Renewal Authorization
on behalf of the Village.
Section 3. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption
