THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 1971

Mayor Privett called the Public Hearing to order at 7:35 ROLL CALL
p.m. and asked the Clerk to call the roll, all members ~,
being present.
The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear statements .PURPOSE OF '
or questions from the public concerning Bill No. 136, which PUBLIC HEARING
was placed on first reading August 26, 1971:
Clerk read legal notice o£ this Public Hearing, which was
published in the Palm Beach Post on September 5, 1971
and posted as required by Village Charter. .
Clerk read Bill No. 136 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
' FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 45 OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH CODE BY DEFINING THE TERMS
"ACCESSORY .BUILDING" AND "DETACHED FENCE STORAGE
AREA' AND SETTING FORTH REGULATIONS CONCERNING
THE LOCATION OF DETACHED FENCE STORAGE AREAS
in total.
Mayor Privett asked if there were any comments or
questions from the public regarding this bill. Mr. &
Mrs. Henry M. Eckes, 721 Gumtree Road,were opposed
to the bill and posed several questions concerning the
bill which were answered by the Mayor and Council.
Mayor Privett asked the Council if they had any comments
on Bill 136. Vice Mayor Cadby, Councilman Rhodes and
Councilman Slater were in favor of the bill, and Mayor
Privett and Councilman Martin were opposed.
There being no further business to come before the
Council at this Public Hearing, on motion of Vice Mayor
Cadby, seconded by Councilman Slater, all present voting
aye, the Public Hearing was adjourned at 8:08 p.m.
