11-11-1971 VC REG-MMINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 1971 Present: H. Mallory Privett, Jr., Mayor ' Ronald B. Cadby, Vice Mayor Robert W. Martin, Councilman Thomas B. Rhodes, Councilman Robert F. Slater, Councilman Herbert L. Gildan, Village Attorney Lawrence J: Robbins, Village Manager Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Privett called the Regular Meeting to order at ROLL CALL 8:01 p.m. and asked the Clerk to call the roll, all members being present except Councilman Slater, who arrived at 8:12 p.m. Councilman Martin gave the invocation, after which the .INVOCATION Council and the public participated in the Pledge of & PLEDGE OF Allegiance to the Flag. ALLEGIANCE On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman 10/2S/71 Martin, all present voting aye, the minutes of Regular MINUTES Meeting held Thursday, October 28, 1971 were approved APPROVED as written. On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman ACCEPTANCE Martin, all present voting aye, the minutes of Recrea- OF MINUTES tion Advisory Board meeting held October 12; 1971, and the minutes of Beautification Committee meeting held October 27, 1971-were accepted. On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman BILL 141 Martin, all present voting aye, Bill No. 141 entitled: PLACED ON 1ST READING AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 34-15 OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH CODE BY PERMITTING ONE SIGN TO BE ERECTED IN THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH COVERING COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISES LOCATED WITHOUT THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH ON PREMISES WHICH ARE A SINGLE COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISE BUT WHICH ARE LOCATED PARTLY WITHIN AND PARTLY WITHOUT THE VILLAG€ OF NORTH PALM BEACH was placed on first reading and read in full. On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman BILL 142 Martin, all present voting aye, Bill No. 142 entitled: PLACED ON 1ST READING AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 45-36 (G) OF THE VILLAGE. ' On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman BID FOR 2 Martin, all present voting aye, that we award bid to LIGHT POLES purchase two light poles for a total of $4.00 to AWARDED TO Larry Jarrell Construction, Inc . LARRY JARRELL CONST., INC. On motion of Councilman Martin, seconded by Vice Mayor DNIFORM BID Cadby, all present voting aye, that we accept the bid AWARDED TO of Purity Uniform Service, Inc. for the unit price PURITY UNI- as set forth in their bid, copy of which is attached FORM SERV., hereto. INC. On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman COUNCIL Martin, all present voting aye, that we institute AUTHORIZATION the pay increases as we budgeted for this coming FOR_POST fiscal year, starting with the pay period following FREEZE PAY the end of the freeze, including the fringe benefit INCREASES of cleaning services to the Public Safety Department. In no event should any increases exceed the federal guidelines for wages and benefits.
