05-06-1971 VC PH-MMINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, MAY 6, 1971 1 1 Present: H. Mallory Privett, Jr., Mayor Ronald B. Cadby, Vice-Mayor Robert W. Martin, Councilman Thomas B. Rhodes, Councilman Robert F. Slater, Councilman. Lawrence J. Robbins, Village Manager Herbert L. Gildan, Village Attorney Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Privett called the Public Hearing to order at 7:35 p.m, and asked the Clerk to call the roll, all members being present except Councilman Slater, who arrived at 7:40 p.m. Mayor Privett stated that the purpose of the Public Hearing is to consider Bill No. 120, which proposes to amend the zoning code of the Village to change the regulations concerning the height and location of fences. Clerk read legal notice of this Public Hearing, which was published in the Palm Beach Post on April 18, 1971 and posted as required by Village Charter. Clerk read Bill No. 120 entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 45 OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH CODE BY SETTING FORTH REGU- LATIONS CONCERNING THE HEIGHT AND LOCATION OF FENCES AND WALLS IN THE VILLAGE in total. Mayor Privett asked the public if there were any comments concerning Bill No. 120. The following per- sons were in favor of this bill: Harvey Strauss 745 Dogwood Road James McKee 805 Westwind Drive Mrs. Robert Lippitt 845 Dogwood Road Bob Scott 575 Anchorage Drive Joe Abbott 400 Oyster Road Ronald Gomes 667 Lakeside Drive The following person was opposed to Bill No. 120: Mervin H. McIntyre 711 Ibis Way Mayor Privett asked the Council if they had any comments on Bill No. 120. Vice-Mayor Cadby, Council- man Rhodes and Councilman Slater mere in favor of this bill, and Mayor Privett and Councilman Martin were opposed.
