A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING A BLANKET PURCHASE
ORDER FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT WITH LOWES HOME
IMPROVEMENT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $12,500; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village's Purchasing Policies and Procedures authorize the use of blanket purchase
orders for materials purchased over a certain period of time not to exceed a single fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, blanket purchase orders in excess of $10,000 require approval by the Village Council; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration is recommending approval of a blanket purchase order with
Lowes Home Improvement for various facility and ground improvement materials and supplies
utilized by the Public Works Department to be purchased in accordance with the Village
Purchasing Policies and Procedures; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the issuance of a blanket purchase order to
Lowes Home Improvement in a total amount not to exceed $12,500, with funds expended as follows:
(a) $500 from Account No. A7020 -35213 (Sanitation — Shop Tools & Supplies); (c) $6,000 from
Account No. A7321 -34620 (Streets & Grounds — R & M Building & Grounds); and (d) $6,000
from Account No. A5519 -34620 (Facility Services — R & M Building & Grounds).
Section 3. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
