VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15,:1970

Absent: Thomas R. Bell, Vice-Mayor
Mayor Lewis called the public hearing to order at
7:35 p.m. and asked the Clerk to call the roll, all
members being present except Vice-Mayor B.e11.
The purpose of the public hearing was to review and
discuss with the residents in attendance those items
classified as reappropriations of the current 1969-70
fiscal budget. Mayor Lewis stated that although this
public hearing is not required by law, it is the
policy of the Council to provide the public with as
much information as possible on the funding and fin-
ancing of the Village.
' Clerk read legal notice of this public hearing, which
was published in the Palm Beach Post on September 27,
1970 and posted in three conspicuous places in the
Village.
For the public's edification, Clerk read Bill No. 104,
the proposed reappropriation ordinance, in full.
Mayor Lewis asked the Council and the public if they
had any questions on this proposed ordinance. The
public had none. Councilman Privett raised the ques-
tion as to what the explanation is for increasing the
Councils contingent account to reflect an additional
$9,000 expenditure. He was advised by the Village
Manager that the Village Auditors wi711 provide an
explanation of this entry in written form no later
than Tuesday, October 20, 1970. '
There being no further business to come before the
Council at this public hearing, on motion of Council-
man Cadby, seconded by Councilman Watt, all present
voting aye, the public hearing was adjourned at
7:43 p.m.
