Mayor Lewis gave-the invocation, after which Vice-Mayor
Bell led the Council and the public in the ,pledge of
aZ~egiance to the flag.
On motion of Vice-Mayor Be11, seconded by Councilman
Watt, all present voting aye, the minutes of Regular
Meeting held Thursday, April 23, 1970 were '.approved
written.

Mayor Lewis read proclamation on Realtor Week - May
17-23, 1970. A copy of this proclamation will be
mailed to the Northern Palm Beach County Board of
Realtors.
On motion of Councilman Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Watt, all present voting aye, the Report of Informal
Meeting of the Beautification Committee of April 22,
1970; and the Monthly Report from the Recreation
Director for April 1970 were accepted.
On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman
Cadby, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No.
451-70 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO SIGN THAT CERTAIN
AGREEMENT WITH PALM BEACH COUNTY REGARDING MEMBER-
SHIP IN THE PALM BEACH COUNTY LIBRARY SYSTEM
was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No.
451-70.
On motion of Councilman Privett, seconded by Vice-Mayor
Bell, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No.

On motion of Councilman Cadby, seconded by Vice-Mayor
Bell, all present vo°ting aye, proposed Resolution No.
LF54-70 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, COMMENDING MR. HECTOR A. OUELLETTE,
PRINCIPAL OF NORTH PALM BEACH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No.
1454-70.
Council voted by secret ballot for those persons whose
names they elected to have placed on proposed Resolution
No. LE55-70. The names of those persons receiving three
votes are as follows: Dr. Lean Rogers, Jerome Wedekind
and Mervin McIntyre.
On motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman
Watt --three to two, Councilman Privett and Councilman
Cadby opposed - that the names receiving three votes be
applied to--the resolution.
On motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman
Watt - three to two, Councilman Privett and Councilman
Cadby opposed - proposed Resolution No. 455-70 entitled•
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM

Mayor Lewis passed the gavel to Vice-Mayor Bell and $6

made the following motion: That we appropriate from ,

Account No. OS-500 an amount not to exceed $6,130.00 FOR WATERWAY
or, if money is not available in Account No. OS-500, __
CONTROL
that it be appropriated £rom prior years' surplus and
be shown in the proper account when we reallocate and
reappropriate our accounts in this fiscal year. These
funds are to be used by the Village Manager and the
Director of Public Safety in the most effective manner
£or waterway control. On the call for the .question,
Mayor Lewis, Vice-Mayor Bell and Councilman Watt voted
aye; Councilman Cadby and Councilman Privett voted nay.
Therefore, motion passed three to two.
Vice-Mayor Bell returned the gavel to Mayor Lewis.
There being no further business to come before the ADJOURNMENT
Council, on motion of Councilman Cadby, seconded by
Vice-Mayor Bell, all present voting aye, the meeting --
was adjourned at 10:18 p.m.
