Mayor Lewis called the Regular Meeting to order at 8:00
p.m. and asked the Clerk to call the roll,-all members
being present except Vice-Mayor Bell and Councilman
Watt.
Councilman Privett led the Council and the public in
the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
On motion of Councilman Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Privett, all present voting aye, the minutes of Regular
Meeting held Thursday, July 9, 1970 were approved as
written.
On motion of Councilman Privett, seconded by Councilman
Cadby, all present voting aye, the minutes_of Board of
' Governors Meeting held Wednesday, June 17, 1970; and the
minutes of Regular Meeting of the Planning and Zoning
Advisory Board held Wednesday, July 8, 1970 were accepted.
On motion of Councilman Privett, seconded by Councilman
Cadby - two to one, Mayor Lewis opposed - that we post-
pone consideration of Bill No. 94 until our next Regular
Meeting.
On motion o£ Councilman Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Privett, all present voting aye, Bill No. 96 entitled
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 91, AS HERETOFORE
AMENDED, BY AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE TREASURER TO
CHARGE A PENALTY OF ONE-HALF_OF ONE PERCENT PER MONTH
ON DELINQUENT CHARGE ACCOUNTS AT THE NORTH PALM BEACH
COUNTRY CLUB FOR ALL CHARGES EXCEPT MEMBERSHIP FEES

to read as follows:

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 91, as heretofore amended,
is hereby further amended by adding Section 12 thereto to
read as follows:
"Section 12. (1) Effective immediately upon passage
of this ordinance, all charges for goods or services
purchased at the North Palm Beach Country Club shall
carry a penalty of eight-tenths of one percent o£ the
amount due for each thirty days the account is past
due.
(2) Effective November 1, 1970 all member-
ship fees at the North Palm Beach Country Club
shall carry a penalty of eight-tenths of one
percent of the amount past due for each thirty
days the membership fee is past due.
(3) All future billings for membership fees
and for goods or services purchased at the North
Palm Beach Country Club shall contain information
advising the customer of the penalty charge for
late payment, with at least a thirty-day notice
o:E such penalty.
(4) In addition to the penalties set forth
in subsections (1) and (2) above, any person
' whose account for membership fees or. for goods
and services purchased at the. North Palm Beach
Country Club is delinquent for sixty days or
more shall have his membership privileges
suspended at the North Palm Beach Country Club
and shall no longer be entitled to purchase goods
and services on credit at the North Palm Beach
Country Club until he has brought his account
current."
On motion of Councilman Privett, seconded by Councilman
Cadby, all present voting aye, that Bill No. 96 be
adopted as amended as Ordinance No. 211-70.'
On motion of Councilman Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Privett, all present voting aye, Bi11 No. 97 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO COMMIT ANY ACT WHICH
IS OR SHALL BE RECOGNIZED BY THE LAWS OF THE STATE
OF FLORIDA AS A MISDEMEANOR WITHIN THE CORPORATE
LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH

CLERK TO INTER INTO CONTRACTS FOR THE GRADING AND
PAVING, LIGHTING, AND FENCING OF TENNIS COURTS TO
BE ERECTED IN THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH NORTH

On motion of Councilman Privett, seconded by Councilman BIDS AWARDED
Cadby, all present voting aye, that we award bid for FOR PACKER BODY
packer body to Tom Wood Equipment Corporation ip the & CAB & CHASSIS
amount of $7,855.00; and that we award bid for cab
and chassis to Miami Truck and Motor Company in the
amount of $7,430.34.
On motion of Councilman Privett, seconded by Councilman BD. OF GOV.
Cadby, all present voting aye, that the Board of Governors AUTHORIZED TO
be authorized to negotiate for a Country Club Manager at NEGOTIATE FOR
a yearly salary not to exceed $16,000.00, as long as it CC MGR.
remains within the total budget allocation for this year.
There being no further business to come before the Council, ADJOURNMENT
on motion of Councilman Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Privett, all present voting aye, the meeting was adjourned
at 9:35 p.m.
