Mayor Lewis reconvened the recessed meeting of the Tax ROLL CALL
Equalizing Board held Monday, August 3, 1970 at 8-00
p.m. and asked the Clerk to call the roll, all members
being present except Councilman Privett. _
Mayor Lewis stated that the Tax Equalizing Board is
reconvening to rnview two cases; namely, Lot 21,
Block 8, Country Club Addition (David Stuart) and
Lots 3 and 4, Marina Addition, Apartment 7 (Harry
Robinson).
Mayor Lewis stated that Article VII, Section 6 of
the Village Charter, ratified July 30, 1968, directs
the Council to sit as the Tax Equalizing Board.
The Clerk read notice of Tax Equalizing Board Meeting
which was published in the Palm Beach Post on July
12, 1970 and posted as required by Chartex.
Mayor Lewis stated that the Village Council was author-
ized to impose and collect real estate taxes under
Florida Statute 167.43,-and that the criteria for
placing improved property on the tax rolls is con-
tained in Florida Statute 193.11, subparagraph ~F.
Mr. David Stuart, 823 Country Club Drive,'Lot 21,
Block 8 Country Club Addition, again petitioned
the Board for a reduction in his appraisal. His
property is currently appraised at $52,580. Our
appraisers, Hunnicutt & Associates, Inc. ,: had rechecked
the calculations of Mr. Stuart's property after the
Tax Equalizing Board Meeting held August 3, 1970,
and Mr. Stuart met with representatives of Hunnicutt
on August ~F, 1970 in the Village Hall.
On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman
Cadby, all present voting aye, that we accept the
recommendation of our appraisers and deny this
petition, and that the appraisal of Lot 21, Block 8,
Country Club Addition (David Stuart) remain the same.
Mr. Harry Robinson, 136 Yacht Club Drive, Lots 3 and ~F,,
Marina Addition, Apartment 7, again petitioned the
Board for a reduction in his appraisal. His property
is currently appraised at $22,650.
Mr. Robinson's appraisal was deferred until the
Village Tax Assessor requests and receives a certified
letter from Hunnicutt & Associates, Inc., explaining
the manner in which the percentage of ownership of
condominiums was determined and to ascertain under
which Florida Statutes Hunnicutt is doing their
appraisal work on condominiums and co-ops.

Board Meeting was recessed, until further notice,_at
9:10 p.m.
