A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING AND DECLARING THE
RESULTS OF THE MAY 12, 2015 SPECIAL ELECTION; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on May 12, 2015, the Village of North Palm Beach held a special election in accordance
with all applicable Village and state law requirements for the purpose of electing a Councilmember to
the Village Council for Group 5; and
WHEREAS, two candidates qualified for Group 5 during the time required for the filing of a Notice of
Candidacy and the names of these candidates were placed on the ballot and submitted to the electorate; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to officially accept and declare the results of the May 12, 2015
special election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing "whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council accepts that the following are the results of the special election
held on May 12, 2015:
For Village Councilmember, Group 5:
Pat Friedman 440
Mark Mullinix 609
Section 3. Based on the foregoing results, the Village Council hereby declares that the following
candidate is elected as Councilmember for Group 5:

Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
