A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A
MESSAGE BOARD TRAILER WITH FULL MATRIX DISPLAY FROM
FLORIDA TRANSCOR, INC. AT A TOTAL COST OF $16,640.00 UTILIZING
LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUNDS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 932.7055, Florida Statutes, the Village must deposit all
proceeds from the civil forfeiture of real or personal property in its law enforcement trust fund
account and such proceeds may only be used for law enforcement purposes unrelated to normal
operating expenditures; and
WHEREAS, based on the receipt of three written quotations as' required by the Village
purchasing rules and regulations, Village Administration recommended the purchase of a
message board trailer with full matrix display from Florida Transcor, Inc. at a total cost of
$16,640.00; and
WHEREAS, the Police Chief provided the necessary certification pursuant to Section 932.7055(5),
Florida Statutes, which also requires Village Council approval of all such expenditures; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the requested expenditure complies with the
requirements of Section 932.7055, Florida Statutes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, hereby
approves the purchase of message board trailer with full matrix display from Florida Transcor, Inc.
at a total cost of $16,640.00, with funds expended from Account No. A5714 -66490
(Law Enforcement Trust Fund — Machinery & Equipment).
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
