A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF HOLMATRO HYDRAULIC EXTRICATION EQUIPMENT
PURSUANT TO PRICING ESTABLISHED BY H -GAC COOPERATIVE
PURCHASING PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING THE SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE
OF RELATED EQUIPMENT; AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO
EXECUTE AN INTERLOCAL CONTRACT FOR COOPERATIVE PURCHASING
WITH H -GAC; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE
CLERK TO TRANSFER $70,510.00 FROM THE CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT
TO THE FIRE — MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT CAPITAL ACCOUNT; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Fire Rescue Department is requesting the purchase of two sets of Holmatro
hydraulic extrication equipment from Metro Fire Apparatus Specialists, Inc. pursuant to pricing
establishing by the Houston - Galveston Area Council ( "H- GAC ") cooperative purchasing program,
as well as the sole source purchase of related equipment not covered by the program from South
Florida Emergency Vehicles, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the Village's Purchasing Policies specifically authorize Village Administration to
piggyback on current cooperative purchase contracts and Village Administration has obtained
quotes from secondary qualified vendors to verify the fair market value of the equipment; and
WHEREAS, in order effectuate the purchase, the Village is required to execute an Interlocal Contract
for Cooperative Purchasing with H -GAC; and
WHEREAS, the Village seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to transfer
$70,510.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Fire — Machinery and Equipment Capital
Account to fund the purchase of the required equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of two sets of Holmatro hydraulic
extrication equipment from Metro Fire Apparatus Specialists, Inc. pursuant to pricing established by
the H -GAC cooperative purchasing program in an amount not to exceed $67,742.74, as well as the
sole source purchase of related equipment not covered by the program from South Florida
Emergency Vehicles, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $2,767.00 (for a total of $70,509.74), with
funds expended from Account No. K5812 -66490 (Fire — Machinery and Equipment).

Section 3. The Village Council further authorizes the Village Manager to execute an Interlocal
Contract for Cooperative Purchasing with H -GAC, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
Section 4. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 5. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 6. All resolutions or parts thereof in conflict with this Resolution are hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict.
Section 7. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
