A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING AND DECLARING THE
RESULTS OF THE MARCH 10, 2015 GENERAL ELECTION; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on March 10, 2015, the Village of North Palm Beach held a general election in
accordance with all applicable Village and state law requirements for the purpose of electing
Councilmembers to the Village Council for Groups 2 and 4; and
WHEREAS, because only one candidate qualified for Group 4, this office was not placed on the
ballot and in accordance with the provisions of the Village Charter and the Florida Election Code, this
candidate was presumed to have voted for himself, and
WHEREAS, two candidates qualified for Group 2 during the time required for the filing of a Notice of
Candidacy and the names of these candidates were placed on the ballot and submitted to the electorate; and
WHEREAS, the Village council wishes to officially accept and declare the results of the March 10, 2015
general election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing "whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council accepts that the following are the results of the general election
held on March 10, 2015:
For Village Councilmember, Group 2:
Doug Bush 932
Gloria Malden Kaplan 331
For Village Councilmember, Group 4:
David B. Norris unopposed
Section 3. Based on the foregoing results, the Village Council hereby declares that the following
candidates are elected as Councilmembers for Groups 2 and 4:

Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
