A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA ACCEPTING A PROPOSAL FROM PRECISION
LANDSCAPE COMPANY OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, INC. FOR NORTHLAKE
BOULEVARD MEDIAN LANDSCAPING UTILIZING PRICING FOR LABOR
AND EQUIPMENT ESTABLISHED IN AN EXISTING CONTRACT; APPROVING
THE PURCHASE OF LANDSCAPE MATERIALS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Village Administration is recommending upgrading and replacing landscaping materials
within the Northlake Boulevard median; and
WHEREAS, the Village has an existing landscape maintenance contract with Precision Landscape
Company of Palm Beach County, Inc. that establishes prices for additional work, including equipment
and labor, and authorizes the issuance of work orders for additional work, including the removal and
installation of landscape plant materials; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of landscape materials from the same
entity that is performing the maintenance as a sole source -type purchase and the Village Council
approves such purchase notwithstanding any purchasing policies and procedures to the contrary; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best interests
of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby accepts the proposal from Precision Landscape Company
of Palm Beach County, Inc. for labor, equipment and materials for the installation of Northlake
Boulevard median landscaping at a total cost of $28,113.00 ($6,465.00 for labor and equipment and
$21,648.00 for landscape materials), with funds expended from Account No. A7321 -35222 (Streets
and Grounds — Trees & Sod). This purchase shall be treated as a work order and is subject to the terms
and conditions of the existing Contract dated September 11, 2014 between the Village and Precision.
Section 3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby
repealed to extent of such conflict.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
