A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING A BLANKET PURCHASE ORDER FOR
THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT WITH G & K UNIFORM SERVICES, INC.
IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $12,050; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village's Purchasing Policies and Procedures authorize the use of blanket purchase
orders for materials purchased over a certain period of time not to exceed a single fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, blanket purchase orders in excess of $10,000 require approval by the Village Council; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration is recommending approval of a blanket purchase order for
uniforms utilized by the Public Works Department pursuant to pricing established by an existing
contract between the Village and G & K Uniform Services, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the issuance of a blanket purchase order to G & K
Uniform Services, Inc. in the total amount not to exceed $12,050, with funds expended from the
following Public Works Department Accounts:
(a) $1,150 from Account No. A5519 -33410 (Facility Services — Uniform Rental)
(b) $6,800 from Account No. A7020 -33410 (Sanitation — Uniform Rental)
(c) $1,800 from Account No. A7321 -33410 (Streets & Grounds — Uniform Rental)
(d) $ 800 from Account No. A5522 -33410 (Vehicle Maintenance —Uniform Rental)
(e) $ 500 from Account No. A5519 -35270 (Facility Services —Custodial Supplies)
(f) $1,000 from Account No. A5522 -35213 (Vehicle Maint. — Shop Tools & Supplies)
Section 3. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
