A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF VIRTUALIZATION HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE FROM
DELL COMPUTERS PURSUANT TO PRICING ESTABLISHED BY STATE
CONTRACT; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND
VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND BUDGET
TO TRANSFER $49,624.00 FROM THE CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO
THE IT — COMPUTER HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE CAPITAL
ACCOUNT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Village Administration is requesting the purchase of virtualization hardware and
software from Dell Computers in order to reduce IT costs and increase efficiency; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of two servers and virtualization
software from Dell Computers utilizing pricing established by Florida State Contract No. 250 -
WSCA -10ACS (Computer Equipment, Peripherals and Related Services); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $49,624.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the IT — Computer Hardware and
Software Capital Account to fund this purchase; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of virtualization hardware and
software from Dell Computers utilizing pricing established by Florida State Contract No. 250 -
WSCA -10ACS (Computer Equipment, Peripherals and Related Services). The total amount
expended for this purchase shall not exceed $49,623.79, with funds expended from Account No.
K5004 -66415 (IT — Machinery & Equipment). The Village Council further authorizes the
Village Manager to execute any required software licensing or related agreements.
Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. All resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.
Section 6. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
