A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF TWO
MACK FRONT LOAD SANITATION COLLECTION TRUCKS FROM
NEXTRAN CORPORATION PURSUANT TO AN EXISTING FLORIDA
SHERIFF'S ASSOCIATION AND FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES
CONTRACT FOR OFF -ROAD UTILITIES, MEDIUM/HEAVY TRUCKS AND
OTHER FLEET EQUIPMENT; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE CAPITAL PROJECTS
FUND BUDGET TO TRANSFER $507,058.00 FROM THE CAPITAL RESERVE
ACCOUNT TO THE SANITATION — AUTOMOTIVE CAPITAL ACCOUNT
TO FUND THE PURCHASE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, as part of the five -year operational plan for the Public Works Sanitation division,
the Village is converting from rear load to front load collection vehicles; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration is recommending the purchase of two front load sanitation
collection vehicles from Nextran Corporation of Riviera Beach pursuant to Specification No. 14
of an existing Florida Sheriff's Association and Florida Association of County Contract for Off -Road
Utilities, Medium/Heavy Trucks, and Other Fleet Equipment (Contract No. 13 -11- 0904); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to transfer
$507,058.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Sanitation — Automotive Capital Account
to fund the purchase of the vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of two front load sanitation
collection vehicles from Nextran Corporation of Riviera Beach pursuant to Specification No. 14 of
an existing Florida Sheriff's Association and Florida Association of County Contract for Off -Road
Utilities, Medium/Heavy Trucks, and Other Fleet Equipment (Contract No. 13 -11 -0904) at a total
cost of $507,058.00, with funds expended from Account No. K7020 -66410 (Sanitation — Automotive).
Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
