PUBLIC HEARINGS AND QUASI-JUDICIAL MATTERS PUBLIC HEARING AND 1ST READING OF ORDINANCE 2014-12 – TEMPORARY 1. MORATORIUM ON MEDICAL MARIJUANA DISPENSARIES OR TREATMENT CENTERS Consider a motion to adopt on first reading Ordinance 2014-12 establishing a temporary moratorium on the issuance of approvals for the operation of medical marijuana dispensaries or treatment centers. ACTION Regular Session Agenda, October 9, 2014 Page 2 of 2 D. CONSENT AGENDA The Consent Agenda is for the purpose of expediting issues of a routine or pro-forma nature. Councilmen may remove any item from the Consent Agenda, which would automatically convey that item to the Regular Agenda for separate discussion and vote. Motion 1. to suspend the 11/27/14 and 12/25/14 Council meetings in observance of national holidays and the 7/9/15 Council meeting due to the Budget Workshop meeting schedule 2. Receive for file Minutes of the Library Advisory Board meeting held 9/23/14 E. OTHER VILLAGE BUSINESS MATTERS RESOLUTION – APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD 1. Consider a motion to adopt a proposed resolution appointing Tim Hullihan to the Recreation Advisory Board. ACTION RESOLUTION – FRONT LOAD SANITATION COLLECTION TRUCKS PURCHASE 2. Consider a motion to adopt a proposed resolution approving the purchase of two front load sanitation collection vehicles from Nextran Corporation at a total cost of $507,058; and authorizing a budget amendment to fund the expenditure. ACTION RESOLUTION – LAPTOP COMPUTER PURCHASE 3. Consider a motion to adopt a proposed resolution approving the purchase of 30 Dell laptop computers and related equipment directly from Dell Computers at a total cost not to exceed $29,222.40 ACTION RESOLUTION – ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT AMENDMENT 4. Consider a motion to adopt a proposed resolution approving the Amendment to the Continuing Contract for Professional Engineering Services with Engenuity, Inc., and authorizing execution of the Amendment. This agenda represents the tentative agenda for the scheduled meeting of the Village Council.
