A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF CAD, RECORDS MANAGEMENT AND MOBILE COMPUTING
LICENSES AND SOFTWARE REQUIRED FOR REGIONAL DISPATCH
FROM SUNGUARD PUBLIC SECTOR, INC.; AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE
CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND BUDGET TO TRANSFER $87,214.00 FROM
THE CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE POLICE — COMPUTER
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE CAPITAL ACCOUNT TO FUND THE
PURCHASE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Village Administration is requesting the purchase of CAD, Records Management
and Mobile Computing licenses and software necessitated by the transition to the North County
Dispatch Center; and
WHEREAS, because the NCDC already utilizes software from Sunguard Public Sector, Inc., this
is a sole source purchase and the Village Council waives any otherwise applicable purchasing
policies and procedures; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $87,214.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Police — Computer Hardware and
Software Capital Account to fund the purchase of the licenses and software; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the sole source purchase of CAD, Records
Management and Mobile Computing licenses and software necessitated by the transition to the
North County Dispatch Center from Sunguard Public Sector, Inc. at a total cost not to exceed
$87,214.00, with funds expended from Account No. K5711 -66415 (Police — Computer Hardware
and Software).
Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
