A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF THREE HARRIS PORTABLE RADIO PACKAGES AND
FORTY HARRIS MOBILE RADIOS FROM CITATION COMMUNICATIONS
PURSUANT TO EXISTING CONTRACTS WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT
OF PALM BEACH COUNTY FOR PORTABLE AND MOBILE RADIOS,
EQUIPMENT, PARTS AND ACCESSORIES AND RADIO REPAIRS,
SERVICE, INSTALLATION AND PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE;
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK
TO AMEND THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND BUDGET TO TRANSFER
$153,066.00 FROM THE CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE POLICE —
MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT ACCOUNT TO FUND THE PURCHASE;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Village Administration is requesting the purchase of radios necessitated by the
transition to the North County Dispatch Center; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of three Harris M7300 portable
radios and forty XG -75 Harris portable radio packages from Citation Communications by
piggybacking existing contracts between Citation Communications and the School District of
Palm Beach County for portable and mobile radios, equipment, parts and accessories
(Contract No. 11 C -42S) and for radio repairs, service, installation and preventative maintenance
(Contract No. 13C -19S); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $153,066.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Police — Machinery and Equipment
Account to fund the purchase of the equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of three (3) Harris M7300
portable radios and forty (40) XG -75 Harris portable radio packages from Citation Communications
by piggybacking existing contracts between Citation Communications and the School District of
Palm Beach County for portable and mobile radios, equipment, parts and accessories
(Contract No. 11 C -42S) and for radio repairs, service, installation and preventative maintenance
(Contract No. 13C -19S). The total amount expended for this equipment, including installation,
shall not exceed $153,066.00, with funds being expended from Account No. K5711 -66490
(Police — Machinery and Equipment).

Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
