ROLL CALL
Mayor Aubrey called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All members of Council were present.
All members of staff were present. Human Resources Director Loren Slaydon was present.
The purpose of the meeting was to shortlist candidates to be interviewed for the position of
Village Manager.
Discussion was held concerning whether Interim Village Manager Chuck Huff would be
considered for the position of Village Manager. Council consensus was in favor of including
Mr. Huff in the pool of candidates.
Discussion took place regarding the individuals previously selected by Council on May 13, 2014
as top -tier or second -tier candidates. By consensus, James Drumm, Gregory Dunham, James Kelly,
and John Hixenbaugh made the Council's shortlist of candidates to be interviewed.
Mr. Hixenbaugh and Mr. Huff were included, pending receipt of applications and background
checks. Human Resources Director Loren Slaydon will obtain employment applications from
Mr. Huff and Mr. Hixenbaugh and will conduct the same background checks that were
completed for the other selected candidates. Council delegated Mr. Rubin and /or Ms. Donlon to
assess the background screening materials received for these candidates.
Discussion took place regarding the schedule of events for interviews June 13 -14, 2014, as follows:
June 13, 2014 Public reception from 6:00 -7:30 p.m. at North Palm Beach Country Club.
June 14, 2014 One -on -one interviews with council members starting at 8:30 a.m.
June 14, 2014 Public interview meeting at 1:00 p.m., followed by selection of the manager.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
