A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING A BLANKET PURCHASE
ORDER WITH HOME DEPOT, INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$5,000 FOR PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES,
TOOLS AND MATERIALS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village's Purchasing Policies and Procedures authorize the use of blanket purchase
orders for materials purchased over a certain period of time not to exceed a single fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, blanket purchase orders in excess of $10,000 require approval by the Village
Council; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration is recommending approval of a blanket purchase order for an
additional $5,000 with Home Depot, Inc. (for a total of $15,000) for the purchase of general supplies,
equipment, tools, and construction/maintenance materials for use by the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the issuance of a blanket purchase order for
an additional $5,000 with Home Depot, Inc. (for a total of $15,000), for the purchase of Public
Works Department supplies, equipment, tools and materials for use on Village facilities, streets and
grounds, with funds expended from Account No. A5519 -34620 (Facilities — Repair and Maintenance
Buildings and Grounds) and Account No. A7321 -34620 (Streets — Repair and Maintenance
Buildings and Grounds).
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
