Mayor Aubrey called the meeting to order at 8:55 p.m. All members of Council were present.
All members of staff were present.
COUNTRY CLUB ENGINEERING SURVEY FINAL REPORT
Mr. Huff reported the air - cooled HVAC chiller for the Country Club has been operating at a
reduced capacity and three split air conditioning systems are being used to compensate for the
diminished capacity. Mr. Huff stated that based on the estimated cost to repair the chiller, Public
Works obtained proposals from mechanical engineering firms to perform an engineering survey
of the clubhouse and subsequently contracted with RGD Consulting Engineers to survey all
mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
Brief discussion took place concerning the Engineer's opinion of three possible options for the
clubhouse building: 1) leave as -is and repair components when needed; 2) limited renovation of
existing building; and 3) demolish existing building and build a new clubhouse.
Public Works Director Brian Moree reviewed the estimated cost of various measures that would
address the immediate air conditioning issues at the clubhouse. Mr. Moree discussed other areas
with the potential to require repairs in the next year. Discussion ensued on the estimated cost to
keep the current clubhouse functional until a new clubhouse could be built, should the Council
determine to move in that direction.
RGD Consulting Engineers President, Robert Davenport, and Mechanical Project Engineer
Greg Clements, responded to questions from the Council and offered suggestions.
Mr. Huff and Mr. Moree will work on a short-term plan for addressing the HVAC system, with
discussion to be held on a long -range plan during Budget Workshop Sessions.

With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 9:20 p.m.
