A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF
MATCHING FUNDS FOR A $77,500 RECREATIONAL TRAILS GRANT FROM
THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND
AUTHORIZING VILLAGE ADMINISTRATION TO TAKE ALL ACTIONS
NECESSARY TO SECURE GRANT FUNDING; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village has been approved for $77,500 in matching grant funds from the Florida
Department of Environmental Protection ( "DEP ") Recreational Trails Grant Program for the
Anchorage Park Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, in order to secure receipt of the grant funds, the Village will be required to appropriate
matching funds in the amount of $77,500 from the Unassigned Fund Balance by separate ordinance
and provide certain assurances; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that receipt of the grant funds and the appropriation of
matching funds benefit the health, safety and welfare of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are hereby adopted and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby authorizes the appropriation of $77,500 in matching
funds for the DEP Recreational Trails Grant Program from the Unassigned Fund Balance to be
accomplished by separate ordinance. The Village Council further authorizes Village Administration to
take all actions necessary to provide the assurances necessary to secure the grant funding.
Section 3. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed the
extent of such conflict.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
