OFFICE OF THE MAYOR
WATER CONSERVATION MONTH
WHEREAS, water is a basic and essential need of every living creature; and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida, Water Management Districts and the Village of North Palm
Beach are working together to increase awareness about the importance of water conservation; and
WHEREAS, April, typically a dry month when water demands are highest, is annually
designated as Water Conservation Month, to educate citizens about how they can help save
Florida's precious water resources; and
WHEREAS, the Village of North Palm Beach encourages and supports water conservation,
through various educational programs and special events; and
WHEREAS, every business, industry, school and citizen can make a difference and help by
efficiently using water, thus promoting a healthy economy and community; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Darryl C. Aubrey by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the
Village of North Palm Beach, do hereby proclaim the month of April 2014 as
WATER CONSERVATION MONTH
in the Village of North Palm Beach, and call upon each citizen and business to help protect our
precious resource by practicing water saving measures and becoming more aware of the need to
save water.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Village of North
Palm Beach to be affixed this 18th day of March, 2014.
