A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE EMERGENCY
INSTALLATION OF A SEWER LATERAL WITHIN THE OVERLOOK
DRIVE RIGHT -OF -WAY TO CONNECT THE COUNTRY CLUB GOLF
COURSE RESTROOM TO THE MAIN SEWER LINE AND AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT TO SEACOAST UTILITY AUTHORITY IN AN AMOUNT NOT
TO EXCEED $14,000; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village recently discovered that the sewer line servicing the restrooms located
on the North Palm Beach Country Club Golf Course is connected to the sewer lateral intended to
service the property located at 536 Overlook Drive ( "Property "); and
WHEREAS, the owner of the Property is constructing a new residence on the Property that is
nearing completion and must connect to the sewer line prior to receipt of a Certificate of
Occupancy; and
WHEREAS, the sewer line is owned by Seacoast Utility Authority and Seacoast Utility
Authority will utilize its publicly bid contractors to perform the work at an estimated cost of
$13,500.00±; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council hereby approves the expenditure for installation of the sewer
lateral and determines that it is in the best interest of the Village and its residents to waive any
otherwise applicable purchasing policy requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing "whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby authorizes the emergency installation of a sewer
lateral within the Overlook Drive right -of -way to connect the Country Club Golf Course
restroom to the main sewer line and approves payment for such installation to Seacoast Utility
Authority in an amount not to exceed $14,0000.00. Funds shall be expended from Account No.
L8045 -34620 (Golf Course Maintenance - R &M Building and Grounds).
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
