A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
\ PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NOS. 2013 -51 AND
2013 -59 AND APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF THREE LED LIGHTBARS
FOR PUBLIC WORKS VEHICLES FROM STROBES -R -US, INC. AT A TOTAL
COST OF $3,372.00; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Resolution Nos. 2013 -51 and 2013 -59, the Village Council
approved the capital purchase of three vehicles for use by the Public Works Department, including
after - market components; and
WHEREAS, Resolution Nos. 2013 -51 and 2013 -59 specifically approved the purchase of three (3)
Star 46" LED Safety /Work Lightbars from L & L Distributors of Pompano Beach at a total cost of
$2,521.05, utilizing CIP funds; and
WHEREAS, due to concerns with the specified lightbars, the Public Works Department has
requested the purchase of alternate lightbars from a different vendor; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby amends Resolution Nos. 2013 -51 and 2013 -59 to
eliminate the purchase of three (3) Star 46" LED Safety /Work Lightbars from L & L Distributors of
Pompano Beach and hereby approves the substitute purchase of three (3) Whelen 50" LED
Lightbars from Strobes -R -Us of Pompano Beach at a total cost of $3,372.00, with funds in the
amount of $2,521.05 expended from Account No. K7321 -66410 (Streets and Grounds —
Automotive) and funds in the amount of $850.95 expended from Account No. A5522 -34610
(Vehicle Maintenance — R & M Automotive).
Section 3. To the extent not expressly in conflict with this Resolution, all other provisions of
Resolution Nos. 2013 -51 and 2013 -59 shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
