A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF THREE MSA EVOLUTION 6000 PLUS THERMAL
IMAGING CAMERAS FROM TEN -8 FIRE EQUIPMENT, INC. PURSUANT
TO AN EXISTING LAKE COUNTY CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF
FIRE EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE CAPITAL
PROJECTS FUND BUDGET TO TRANSFER $31,125.00 FROM THE
CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE FIRE — MACHINERY AND
EQUIPMENT ACCOUNT TO FUND THE PURCHASE; DECLARING TWO
EXISTING THREMAL IMAGING CAMERAS AS SURPLUS PROPERTY;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Village Administration is requesting the purchase of three thermal imaging cameras
(two replacement and one additional) for use by the Fire Rescue Department utilizing Capital
Improvement Plan (CIP) Funds; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of three MSA Evolution 6000
Plus thermal imaging cameras with laser range finders from Ten -8 Fire Equipment, Inc. pursuant
to an existing competitively bid contract with Lake County for the purchase of fire equipment
and supplies (Contract No. 12- 08060); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $31,125.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Fire — Machinery and Equipment
Account to fund the purchase of the equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of three MSA Evolution 6000 Plus
thermal imaging cameras with laser range finders from Ten -8 Fire Equipment, Inc. pursuant to
an existing competitively bid contract with Lake County for the purchase of fire equipment and
supplies (Contract No. 12- 08060). The total amount expended for this equipment, including a
one year warranty, shall not exceed $31,125.00, with funds being expended from Account No.
K5812 -66490 (Fire — Machinery and Equipment).
Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. Upon placement of the new thermal imaging cameras in service, the Village
Council declares the two existing thermal imaging cameras utilized by the Fire Rescue
Department as surplus property and authorizes their disposal in accordance with Village policy.
Section 6. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
