A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EMERGENCY
PURCHASE OF COMPONENTS FOR THE EARMAN RIVER TRANSFER
PUMP FROM HYDRO - DYNAMIC PUMPING SERVICES, INC.; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department discovered that the Earman River transfer pump was
not operating properly and has determined that it is necessary to obtain replacement components,
including a new pump shaft, for the pump to resume normal operations; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration has selected Hydro- Dynamic Pumping Services, Inc. to
fabricate and install the components necessary to repair the pump due to the specialized nature of
the required services and its ability to meet an expedited repair schedule; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council hereby approves the emergency purchase of the transfer pump
components and determines that it is in the best interest of the Village and its residents to waive
any otherwise applicable purchasing policy requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing "whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby authorizes the emergency purchase and installation of
components necessary to repair the Earman River transfer pump from Hydro- Dynamic Pumping
Services, Inc. at total cost of $12,255.64, with funds in the amount of $2,451.13 expended from
Account No. A7321 -34640 (Streets & Grounds — R & M Irrigation System) and funds in the
amount of $9,804.51 expended from Account No. L8045 -34640 (Golf Maintenance — R & M
Irrigation System).
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
