A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING A BLANKET PURCHASE ORDER
WITH TIRESOLES OF BROWARD D /B /A ELPEX TIRES IN AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED $40,000 PURSUANT TO PRICING ESTABLISHED BY THE
FLORIDA SHERIFF'S ASSOCIATION AND FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF
COUNTIES BID NO. 14/15 -06 -131 AND STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT
OF MANAGEMENT SERVICES CONTRACT NO. 863 - 000 -10 -1; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village's Purchasing Policies and Procedures authorize the use of blanket purchase
orders for materials purchased over a certain period of time not to exceed a single fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, blanket purchase orders in excess of $10,000 require approval by the Village Council; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration is recommending the approval of a blanket purchase order in an
amount not to exceed $40,000 with TireSoles of Broward d/b /a Elpex Tires for the purchase of tires
for the Public Works Department pursuant to pricing established by existing government contracts; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the issuance of a blanket purchase order in an
amount not to exceed $40,000 for the purchase of tires for the Public Works Department from
TireSoles of Broward d /b /a Elpex Tires pursuant to pricing established by the Florida Sheriff's
Association and Florida Association of Counties Bid No. 14/15 -06 -131 and State of Florida
Department of Management Services Contract No. 863 - 000 -10 -1. The funds for such purchase
shall be expended from Account No. A5522 -35221 (Vehicle Maintenance — Tires and Tubes).
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
