A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE
2014 FORD E350 UTILITY VAN AND ONE 2014 FORD F250 PICK UP
TRUCK FROM MIKE DAVIDSON FORD BY PIGGYBACKING CITY OF
TALLAHASSEE CONTRACT NUMBER 2518 AND APPROVING THE
PURCHASE OF AFTER - MARKET COMPONENTS FROM LOCAL
VENDORS; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND
VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND BUDGET
TO TRANSFER $55,048.00 FROM THE CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO
THE FACILITY SERVICES AUTOMOTIVE AND STREETS AND
GROUNDS AUTOMOTIVE CAPITAL ACCOUNTS; DECLARING TWO
EXISTING VEHICLES AS SURPLUS PROPERTY; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is requesting the purchase of two vehicles listed on
the five year Capital Improvement Plan ( "CIP ") utilizing CIP funds; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of one 2014 Ford E350 Utility
Van and one 2014 Ford F250 Pick Up Truck from Mike Davidson Ford by piggybacking City of
Tallahassee Contract No. 2518; and
WHEREAS, to realize an even greater cost savings, Village Administration further recommends
the purchase of specified after - market components utilizing local vendors; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $55,048.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Facility Services Division and
Streets and Grounds Division capital project accounts to fund the purchase of these vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of the following two vehicles
from Mike Davidson Ford by piggybacking City of Tallahassee Contract No. 2518 in addition to
the purchase of specified after - market components from local vendors:
A. One (1) 2014 Ford E350 Cutaway Knapheide KUV Utility Van at a cost of $28,719.64
and the purchase of a commercial bed liner from Palm Beach Line -X of Riviera Beach at
a cost of $700.00 (total cost $29,419.64) with funds expended from Account No. K5519-
66410 (Facility Services — Automotive).
B. One (1) 2014 Ford F250 2WD Regular Cab Knapheide Service Body at a cost of
$24,037.62 and the purchase of a commercial bed liner from Palm Beach Line -X of
Riviera Beach at a cost of $750.00 and the purchase of a Star 46" Safety /Work Light Bar
from L and L Distributors of Pompano Beach at a cost of $840.35 (total cost $25,627.97)
with funds expended from Account No. K7321 -66410 (Streets and Grounds — Automotive).

Section 3. In order to fund these expenditures, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. Upon delivery, acceptance and placement into service of the new vehicles, the
Village Council declares the following vehicles as surplus property and authorizes their disposal
in accordance with Village policies and procedures:
A. One (1) 2002 Dodge Ram pick -up with lift gate, VIN # 3137KC23Z12M251258 (PW # 31)
B. One (1) 2002 Dodge Ram pick -up with lift gate, VIN # 3B7KC26Z52M251274 (PW # 21)
Section 6. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
