l' A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF NINE VEHICLES FOR USE BY THE VILLAGE'S
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, POLICE, PUBLIC WORKS AND PARKS
AND RECREATION DEPARTMENTS FROM HUB CITY FORD PURSUANT
TO THE STATE TERM CONTRACT FOR THE ACQUISITION OF MOTOR
VEHICLES AND APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF AFTER - MARKET
COMPONENTS FROM LOCAL VENDORS; AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE
CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND BUDGET TO TRANSFER $189,711.00 FROM
THE CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTAL
CAPITAL PROJECT ACCOUNTS TO FUND THESE PURCHASES;
DECLARING SEVEN EXISTING VEHICLES AS SURPLUS PROPERTY;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Community Development Department, Police Department, Public Works
Department and Parks and Recreation Department are requesting the purchase of a total of nine
(9) vehicles as listed on the five year Capital Improvement Plan ( "CIP ") utilizing CIP funds; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of these vehicles pursuant to
State Term Contract No. 071 - 000 -1 -13 (Acquisition of Motor Vehicles); and
WHEREAS, to realize an even greater cost savings, Village Administration further recommends
the purchase of specified after - market components utilizing local vendors; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $189,711.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the various department capital project
accounts to fund the purchase of these vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of the following vehicles from
Hub City Ford pursuant to State Term Contract No. 071- 000 -13 -1 (Acquisition of Motor
Vehicles) in addition to the purchase of specified after - market components from local vendors
where indicated:
A. One (1) 2014 Ford F -150 2WD Cab 126" XL at a cost of $16,427.00 and the purchase of
a commercial bed liner from Palm Beach Line -X of Riviera Beach at a cost of $450.00
(total cost $16,877.00) with funds expended from Account No. K6020 -66410 (Code
Enforcement — Automotive).

B. One (1) 2014 Ford F -150 2WD Super Cab 145" XLT at a cost of $21,597.80 and the
purchase of a commercial bed liner from Palm Beach Line -X of Riviera Beach at a cost
of $475.00 (total cost $22,072.80) with funds expended from Account No. K5206 -66410
(Community Planning — Automotive).
C. One (1) 2014 Ford Taurus, one (1) 2014 Ford Interceptor, and one (1) 2014 Ford Utility
Police Interceptor equipped to Village specifications at a total cost of $94,070.00 with
funds expended from Account No. K5711 -66410 (Police — Automotive).
D. One (1) 2014 Ford F -150 2WD Regular Cab 126" XL at a cost of $16,386.60, the
purchase of a commercial bed liner from Palm Beach Line -X of Riviera Beach at a cost
of $450.00 and the purchase of a LED Safety /Work Bar from L & L Distributors of
Pompano Beach at a cost of $840.35 (total cost $17,676.95) with funds expended from
Account No. K7020 -66410 (Sanitation —Automotive).
E. One (1) 2014 Ford F -150 2WD Regular Cab 126" XL at a cost of $16,386.60, the
purchase of a commercial bed liner from Palm Beach Line -X of Riviera Beach at a cost
of $450.00 and the purchase of a LED Safety /Work Bar from L & L Distributors of
Pompano Beach at a cost of $840.35 (total cost $17,676.95) with funds expended from
Account No. K7321 -66410 (Streets and Grounds — Automotive).
F. One (1) 2014 Ford F -150 2WD Cab 145" XL at a cost of $17,382.60 and the purchase of
a commercial bed liner from Palm Beach Line -X of Riviera Beach at a cost of $475.00
(total cost $17,857.60) with funds expended from Account No. K8028 -66410 (Recreation
— Automotive).
G. One (1) 2014 Ford F -150 2WD Cab 126" XL at a total cost of $16,427.00 and the
purchase of a commercial bed liner from Palm Beach Line -X of Riviera Beach at a cost of
$450.00 (total cost $16,877.00) with $3,478.08 expended from Account No. K6019 -66410
(Building — Automotive) and $13,398.92 expended from Account No. A6019 -66410
(Building — Automotive).
Section 3. In order to fund these expenditures, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. Upon delivery, acceptance and placement into service of the new vehicles, the
Village Council declares the following vehicles as surplus property and authorizes their disposal
in accordance with Village policies and procedures:

Section 6. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
