2001-23 Village Manager to present Balanced Budget to CouncilORDINANCE 23-2001 • AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 2-2(a), BUDGET PROCEDURES, OF AR77CLE I OF CHAPTER 2, ADMINISTRATION, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGI3, 7'O PROVIDE THAT THE VILLAGE MANAGER SHALL PREPARE AND SUBMIT TO TI iI; MI;MBIsRS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL A BALANCED BUDGET FOR THE OPERATION OF 7'Hf: VILLAGE GOVERNMENT DURING THE NEXT FISCAL YEAR; PROVIDING FOR S1;VERABII.ITY; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE 17' ORDAINED BY THF, VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Section ] . Section 2-2(a), Budget Procedures, of Article I, of Chapter 2, Administration, of the Code of Ordinances of the Village, is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2-2. Budget procedures. (a) The village manager shall prepare and submit to the members of the council, at least forty-five (45) days prior to the first regular meeting of the council in September of each year, a balanced budget for the operation of the village government during the next fiscal year, including an estimate of the revenues and expenditures in such forms as to afford the council a comprehensive understanding of the needs and requirements of the various divisions of the village government for the ensuing year. Sufficient copies of this budget shall be prepared so that there shall be at least three (3) copies on file in the office of the village clerk." Section 2. If any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance is for any reason held by a Court to be unconstitutional, inoperative or void, such holding shall not affect the remainder of this Ordinance. Section 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage.
