A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE CAPITAL PROJECTS
FUND BUDGET TO TRANSFER $75,000.00 FROM THE CAPITAL RESERVE
ACCOUNT TO THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT CONSTRUCTION AND
MAJOR RENOVATION CAPITAL ACCOUNT TO FUND THE BUILDING
DEPARTMENT RELOCATION AND RENOVATION; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, during the Fiscal Year 2014 budget process, the Village Council expressed a desire
to move the Building Department to a different location and utilize Capital Improvement Plan
( "CIP ") funds; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration estimates that moving the Building Department out of
Village Hall to an off -site location and renovating that location to fit the needs of the Department
will cost approximately $75,000; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks _to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $75,000.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Building Department Construction
and Major Renovation Capital Account to fund the relocation and renovation project; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves a budget amendment for the transfer of
funds as indicated below:

Section 3. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
