A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF ONE TURTLE TOP CUTAWAY TWENTY -FIVE PASSENGER
BUS FROM ALLIANCE BUS GROUP PURSUANT TO THE FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION CONTRACT FOR BODY ON
CHASSIS CUTAWAY TYPE VEHICLES; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE CAPITAL
PROJECTS FUND BUDGET TO TRANSFER $69,758.00 FROM THE
CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT
AUTOMOTIVE CAPITAL ACCOUNT TO FUND THE PURCHASE; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Recreation Department is requesting the purchase of one 25 passenger bus as
listed on the five year Capital Improvement Plan ( "CIP ") utilizing CIP funds; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of one Turtle Top Cutaway 25
passenger bus with a 25' Ford 14500 Chassis and a 6.8 V -10 gas engine, fully equipped to
Village specifications, pursuant to Florida Department of Transportation Contract No. TRIPS -
11 -CA -FCCSC (Purchase of Body on Chassis Cutaway Type Vehicles); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $69,758.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Recreation Department Automotive
Capital Account to fund the purchase of the bus; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of one Turtle Top Cutaway 25
passenger bus with a 25' Ford 14500 Chassis and a 6.8 V -10 gas engine, fully equipped to
Village specifications, from Alliance Bus Group of Orlando pursuant to Florida Department of
Transportation Contract No. TRIPS- I I -CA-FCCSC (Purchase of Body on Chassis Cutaway
Type Vehicles). The total amount expended for this vehicle shall not exceed $69,758.00, with
funds being expended from Account No. K8028 -66410 (Recreation — Automotive).
Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
