1998-15 Budget/Use of Unappropriated Fund Balance
ORDINANCE N0. 15-98
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 2-118, BUDGET, OF ARTICLE IV,
MANAGER, OF CHAPTER TWO OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE
DELETING THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE VILLAGE MANAGER MUST FURNISH A
BALANCED BUDGET WITHOUT THE USE OF UNAPPROPRIATED FUNDS; PROVIDING
FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 2-118, Budget, of Article IV,
Manager, of Chapter 2 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village is
amended by deleting the requirement that the Village Manager must
• furnish a balanced budget without the use of unappropriated funds
and to read as follows:
"5EC.2-118. Budget.
The Village Manager shall furnish the Village
each fiscal year with a balanced budget."
Section 2. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
