ORDINANCE NO. 33-97
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 45-
16, DIVISION OF VILLAGfi INTO DISTRICTS; DISTRICTS
ENUMERATED, OF ARTICLE II OF APPENDIX C-ZONING OF
1'fiE CODE. OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE BY DELETING
ZONING DISTRICT C-2, GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT,
AND ADDING TWO (2) NEW ZONING DISTRICTS ENTITLED C-
2, AUTOMOTIVE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, AND CC,
TRANSITIONAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR THE
REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT TIiEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 95-16, Division of Village into
Districts; Districts enumerated, of Article II of Appendix C-Zoning
of the Code of Ordinances of the Village i.s hereby amended to read
as follows:
"Section 95-16. Division of Village into districts;
districts enumerated.
In order to classify, regulate and restrict the
uses of land and buildings, the height and bulk of
buildings, the amount of open spaces about
buildings, intensity of land use, the Village of
North Palm Beach, Florida is divided into twelve
(IL) zoning districts, as follows:
R-1 Single-family dwelling district
R-2 Multiple-family dwelling district
R-3 Apartment dwelling district
C-A Commercial district
C-lA Limited commercial district

Commercial district
Neighborhood commercial district
Automotive commercial district
Regional business district
Public district
Conservation and open space

In the creation of this ordinance of the respective
districts, the Village Council has given due and
careful consideration to the peculiar suitability
of each district for the particular uses and
regulations applied thereto and to the densities of
population, all in accordance with the
comprehensive development plan of the Village."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon passage.
