A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF AN AUTOMATED TIME AND ATTENDANCE SYSTEM
FROM TIMECLOCK PLUS PURSUANT TO THE PRICING ESTABLISHED
BY THE COOPERATIVE PURCHASING NETWORK; AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO TRANSFER
$23,823.00 FROM THE CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COMPUTER HARDWARE AND
SOFTWARE ACCOUNT TO FUND THE PURCHASE; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Finance, Information Technology and Human Resources Departments
are requesting the purchase an automated time and attendance system utilizing Capital
Improvement Plan funds; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration is recommending the purchase of a TimeClock Plus system
by piggybacking the pricing established by a contract with The Cooperative Purchasing Network
( "TCPN "), a national governmental purchasing cooperative that competitively bids all of its
contracts; and
WHEREAS, as required by the Village's Purchasing Policy, the Village Administration has
obtained quotes from a secondary qualified vendor to verify the fair market value of the
equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $23,823.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the IT — Computer Hardware and
Software Account to fund the purchase of the system; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of a TimeClock Plus
automated time and attendance system pursuant to TCPN Contract No. R4887. The total amount
expended for this system, including the purchase of a new server, shall not exceed $23,823.00,
with funds expended from Account No. K5004 -66415 (IT — Computer Hardware and Software).
Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
1 amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
