AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 12-16 OF ARTICLE II., FIRE
PREVENTION CODE, OF CHAPTER 12 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
VILLAGE ADOPTING THE STANDARD FIRE PREVENTION CODE, 1994 EDITION,
AND THE LIFE SAFETY CODE OF THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION
ASSOCIATION 101, 1988 EDITION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
FLORIDA:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
Section 1. Section 12-16 of Article II., Fire Prevention
Code, of Chapter 12 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 12-16
Under the authority of the Florida Statutes, the
Village of North Palm Beach hereby adopts by reference
thereto the Standard Fire Prevention Code 1994 Edition,
and the Life Safety Code of the National Fire Protection
ASSOCIATION 101, 1988 Edition, as published by the
National Fire Protection Association as the fire
prevention code for the Village. There has been for at
least ten (10) days last past and shall be during the
time that this code is in effect, three (3) copies of
each code and recommended amendments kept available for
public use, inspection and examination."
• Section 2. If any section, paragraph, sentence, clause,
phrase or word of this Ordinance is for any reason held by a Court
• to be unconstitutional, inoperative or void, such holding shall not
affect the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
